#include <iostream>
#include <locale>
int main()
{
    const wchar_t EM_SPACE = L'\u2003';

    std::locale loc1("C");
    std::cout << "isspace(EM SPACE, C locale) returned "
              << std::boolalpha << std::isspace(EM_SPACE, loc1) << '\n';

    std::locale loc2("en_US.UTF8");
    std::cout << "isspace(EM SPACE, Unicode locale) returned "
              << std::boolalpha << std::isspace(EM_SPACE, loc2) << '\n';
}

Output:

isspace(EM SPACE, C locale) returned false
isspace(EM SPACE, Unicode locale) returned true
